As per our Acupuncture principles, although the circulation of energy in the channels and internal organs is considered as "within a closed system ", this is not strictly so, as there are constant energy exchanges with the exterior (with the rest of the Universe).

1. Energy is added on continually to the body by such processes as breathing, food, radiation from external world mainly via acupuncture points.

2. Energy is continually lost by processes such as sweating, defaecation, urination, other excrescence and by radiation to the exterior.

The Qi circulates from Lung -> Kidney --> Liver --> Heart --> Spleen and back to lungs.

A parallel circulation also occurs in the same sequence through the corresponding Yang organs.

As it circulates, a part of the energy is stored as a reserve energy in the Kidney to be mobilised in states of stress.

Acupuncture masters believe from ancient classic techniques as, the circulation of energy obtains its propulsive force from the respiratory movements of the lungs.

Lu 5-> K 1->Liv 2->H 7->Sp 5

LI 2 -> UB 65 --> GB 38 -> S| 8 --> ST 45

The natural structure has this logical circulation of energy in Yin and Yang organs.
